Greenville\/Spartanburg Airport launched “Wingspan” yesterday – an online information center for the Terminal Improvement Project, which will take place over the next four years.<\/p>\n
The changes will make GSP one of the most\u00a0efficient airports in the country for its size. \u00a0Including\u00a0the implementation of solar water heaters and rain water\u00a0harvesting\u00a0systems. The project will be utilizing\u00a0construction materials from local sources and will add\u00a0hundreds\u00a0of\u00a0construction\u00a0jobs for local citizens.<\/p>\n
Changes include:<\/p>\n
A third baggage carousel<\/p>\n
Public meeting and conference spaces<\/p>\n
Canopies will be installed in front of the terminal to provide covered walkways and loading areas for passengers<\/p>\n
Additional dining options –\u00a0Including\u00a0a Dunkin’ Doughnuts, Greenleaf\u00a0Restaurant and Chick-Fil-A<\/p>\n
Consolidated TSA checkpoints<\/p>\n
Airport district offices<\/p>\n
One stop rental car customer center located in Garage A<\/p>\n
